Two Centuries of Caring: The Lancaster County Almshouse

Based on the 2000 exhibit curated by Page Talbott, Ph.D. that was part of a yearlong celebration commemorating the opening of the Lancaster County House of Employment in 1800 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and the subsequent 200 years of continuous care for the county's disadvantaged citizens on this site.
