The Lancaster County Historical Society sponsors the Regional
History Colloquium one Friday a month from September through May.
Presenters are historians and scholars who are in the midst of
a work-in-progress or who have recently completed a publication.
Topics focus on historical issues relating to southeastern Pennsylvania
as well as its wider borders. The presenter introduces and discusses
his subject and then engages the audience in stimulating dialogue.
Topics are diverse in nature and have included Lancaster Central
Market, the Mason-Dixon line, the Underground Railroad in Southeastern
Pennsylvania, the Susquehanna River, and the art of Hattie Brunner.
Refreshments
are served at 4:00 and the presentation and dialogue are from
4:30 to 5:30.

Crystal Bollinger will kick off the weekend’s festivities with a lecture about the life of General Daniel Strickler as interpreted through his scrapbooks. Refreshments at 4:00 p.m., lecture at 4:30.
