When Lloyd Dull was assigned as a replacement to the 35th Infantry Division, he knew no one in his new, strange and hostile environment. Upon reaching the non-commissioned officer who would be bringing him to the frontlines after dark, Lloyd was told to look at a line of American casualties lying on the ground. One can only imagine what it must be like to be scared and then having to view the horrifying results of combat lying before you.
