Early Closing for Staff Training on April 6

On Thursday, April 6, LancasterHistory.org will be closing early at 3pm for staff training. The Research Library and Archives will close at 2:45pm. There will still be a 3pm Wheatland tour. The Campus of History is located just west of the City of Lancaster at the intersection of Marietta and North President Avenues. There is ample off-street parking available.

Our ten-acre Campus of History features:

  • the historic grounds and gardens of President James Buchanan's Wheatland
  • the headquarters of LancasterHistory.org including the Museum Store, Library and Research Resources, and Exhibit Galleries
  • the Louise Arnold Tanger Arboretum

The Thaddeus Stevens & Lydia Hamilton Smith Historic Site

While this historic site is not currently open to the public, visitors may get a glimpse of a part of the building and view the interpretive panels which are located in the Vine Street Entrance Lobby of the Lancaster County Convention Center
