Geriatrics in Lancaster County – Past, Present & Future

Dr. J. Kenneth Brubaker, Board Certified Geriatrician and former Director of the Lancaster General Health’s Geriatric Program & Geriatric Fellowship, will present an hour-long talk for the medical and general Lancaster community. Dr. Brubaker’s talk will highlight the origins of Geriatrics as a medical sub-specialty and its subsequent exponential growth over the past 17 years, describing the benefits, outcomes, and future directions of Geriatric care.

This lecture is brought to you by the Edward Hand Medical Heritage Foundation. The Edward Hand Medical Heritage Foundation was founded in 1982 by physicians from the Lancaster City and County Medical Society with the mission to preserve and make accessible the rich heritage of the healing arts with special attention given to Lancaster County.

The event Geriatrics in Lancaster County will take place on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in Ryder Hall at LancasterHistory.org, 230 N. President Avenue, Lancaster. A reception will begin at 4pm, followed by the lecture at 4:30pm. The event is free and open to the public.
