Out of the Box & Off the Wall: World War I

Out of the Box and Off the Wall encourages visitors to think outside the box when using archival resources in research. This exhibition consists of items not commonly displayed to the public and includes items such as historic documents, scrapbook, diary, and memorabilia that represent the more than one (1) million items in the archives collections at LancasterHistory.org.

This is exhibition is available for the public to view for free.

Currently, this exhibition focuses on objects related to the United States’ military’s involvement in World War I. On display are vinyl reproductions of WWI propaganda posters (originals are a part of LancasterHistory.org’s collections) and additional archival materials. A digital exhibition of the WWI posters is available to view online.
