Donate a Piece of History

LancasterHistory.org welcomes donations to the collections. All donations must have clear title and fall within the guidelines of our collections policy.

Donations added to our collection usually have a connection with Lancaster County, President James Buchanan or his family, or Thaddeus Stevens and support one of the four collecting departments—Wheatland, library, archives and objects.

The staff does not give appraisals. The donor must secure independent appraisals for donations if he/she desires to have a donation appraised for income tax purposes.
