Located in downtown Lancaster City at 4 West King Street, LancasterHistory.org On The Square features our Museum Store alongside a small gallery space. The Museum Store offers unique and special home decorative items and books related to Lancaster’s rich history. There are numerous local artisans who contribute to our wide variety of contemporary and folk art including scherenschnitte, fraktur, redware, and small decorated chests. The store also carries seasonal items.
The gallery space currently features Downtown Lancaster: Dynamic Through The Decades, which celebrates the vibrancy of downtown Lancaster’s public life during 1800-1960 using items from across LancasterHistory.org’s historic artifact collections. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
There is no admission fee to view the current exhibition Downtown Lancaster. LancasterHistory.org On The Square is available for all to visit during normal operating hours.
