Exceptions to Hours
Learn when LancasterHistory, including President James Buchanan’s Wheatland, will be closed due to special events, holidays, or inclement weather.
The following operations of LancasterHistory (including President James Buchanan’s Wheatland) will have a change in hours on following upcoming dates:
- PARTIAL CLOSING March 21: The Research Center will be closed to the public. All other operations run on normal schedule.
- CLOSED May 26 for Memorial Day: All Operations Closed
- CLOSED July 4 for Independence Day: All Operations Closed
- CLOSED September 1 for Labor Day: All Operations Closed
- PARTIAL CLOSING November 10 – 15: President James Buchanan’s Wheatland will be closed to the public from November 10 – 15 in preparation for Yuletide at Wheatland. All other operations run on normal schedule.
- CLOSED November 27 for Thanksgiving Day: All Operations Closed
- CLOSED December 24 and 25 for Christmas Eve & Day: All Operations Closed
- CLOSED December 31 for New Year’s Eve: All Operations Closed
