LancasterHistory, located at 230 North President Avenue, is home to President James Buchanan’s Wheatland, the Research Center, museum exhibitions, Museum Store, and the Louise Arnold Tanger Arboretum. Continue reading to learn the hours and admission prices of the various experiences we offer.

Hours of Operation
LancasterHistory Museum
In the LancasterHistory Museum, visitors will find museum exhibitions, the Research Center, and the Museum Store. This is also where visitors with General Admission tickets should check in for their Wheatland tours. Tours depart from the museum down to Wheatland.
Open Mondays – Saturdays, 9:30am – 5pm
Research Center Open Wednesdays – Saturdays, 9:30am – 2pm

Purchase General Admission Tickets
Ticketholders should check in and/or purchase their tickets at the Museum. All tours to Wheatland begin in the Museum and depart from the Museum down to Wheatland.
Looking to visit Wheatland after November 17? Wheatland will be closed to the public from November 17 – 22 in preparation for Yuletide at Wheatland. Please check back in September for more information about our holiday program and tour, Yuletide at Wheatland!
The Tanger Arboretum
The Arboretum is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk. This is no admission charge.

Admission Prices
The following prices are valid for our 2024 Season for visitation occurring between January 16 – November 16, 2024, unless visiting as part of a scheduled Group Tour. Our pricing for the 2024 Holiday Season (November 23 – December 30, 2024) will be updated in September.

** A Family Pass includes the purchase of two (2) adult or senior tickets and two (2) student (youth) tickets. To purchase the Family Pass, please call (717) 392-4633 to purchase over the phone. Family Passes may also be purchased at the door.
