Summer Storytime
Summer Storytime
Join LancasterHistory on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11am for Summer Storytime! Unlike reading at home or in the classroom, Storytime at LancasterHistory takes place among historic buildings and real historic artifacts, giving children an immersive history experience. A passionate museum educator will read aloud from a book centered on a historical theme, and then lead a craft inspired by the theme.
On August 7, we’ll read Freedom on the Menu: The Greensboro Sit-Ins by Carole Boston Weatherford, and then complete a craft or activity based on the day’s theme.
This program broadens kids’ historical knowledge, and establishes museum literacy and critical thinking skills. The program is free, but registration is required to ensure we have craft supplies for everyone. Suggested for ages 4 through 9.
