Exceptions to Hours
Learn when LancasterHistory Museum & Research Center and President James Buchanan’s Wheatland will be closed due to special events, holidays, or inclement weather.
There will be a change in operating hours on the following dates:
- Closed Monday, April 27 | All operations closed to the public for a staff in service day.
- Delayed Opening Friday, May 1 | All operations will open to the public at 11:30am, with the first tour of Wheatland at 12pm. The Research Center will be open 11:30am-4pm.
- Early Closure Saturday, May 2 | All operations will close early to the public at 2pm. The last tour of Wheatland will be at 12pm.
- Closed Monday, May 4 | All operations closed to the public.
- Closed Monday, May 25 | All operations closed to the public for Memorial Day.
- Closed Saturday, July 4 | All operations closed to the public for Independence Day.
- Closed Monday, July 6 | All operations closed to the public.
- Open Saturday, July 11 | The Research Center will be open to the public from 9:30am – 2pm.
- Closed Monday, September 7 | All operations closed to the public for Labor Day.
