Exceptions to Hours
Learn when LancasterHistory, including President James Buchanan’s Wheatland, will be closed due to special events, holidays, or inclement weather.
The following operations of LancasterHistory (including President James Buchanan’s Wheatland) will have a change in hours on following upcoming dates:
- CLOSED November 27 for Thanksgiving Day: All Operations Closed
- CLOSED December 24 and 25 for Christmas Eve & Day: All Operations Closed
- PARTIAL CLOSING December 26: The Research Center will be closed to the public on Friday, December 26. All other operations run on normal schedule.
- CLOSED December 31, 2025 – January 19, 2025: All Operations Closed. We reopen for the 2026 Season on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
