Arboretum Discovery Day
Arboretum Discovery Day
Join LancasterHistory for a family-friendly nature adventure in the Tanger Arboretum! On May 13, children and their families will get to explore the recently redeveloped Wheatland Kitchen Garden and learn about what was grown in a garden during James Buchanan’s time. We’ll also learn about how we access food today. Then we’ll take a brief walk down to the koi pond and learn about the fish who call the pond home. For a craft, we’ll be planting a sunflower, marigold, or tomato plant to take home.
The program is $5/child which covers crafting and activity supplies. Registration is required to ensure we have craft supplies for everyone. Suggested for ages 12 and under. Register for Arboretum Discovery Day online or over the phone by calling (717) 392-4633.
This event will take place outdoors unless inclement weather. We kindly ask that at least one (1) adult 18 years or older attend for every two children.
