On Saturday, December 16, help us on our hunt for candy canes across the Campus of History! Children will listen to a story read aloud, complete a holiday craft to take home, take a peek at historic children’s items from the LancasterHistory Collections, and enjoy a hot cup of cocoa. All ages are welcome! Story, craft, and candy cane activity best suited for children under 12 years of age. The book we’ll be reading is The Shortest Day: Celebrating the Winter Solstice by Wendy Pfeffer and illustrated by Jesse Reisch.
Tickets are $5 for ages 6 and older. Free for children 5 and under. (Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian age 18 or older.) Tickets are available for purchase online or by calling (717) 392-4633. Weather appropriate clothing recommended for the outdoor candy cane hunt. All other activities will take place indoors. The rain date for Candy Canes & Cocoa is Sunday, December 17 at 10am.
