Tips for Container Gardening

Tips for Container Gardening

Friends of the Tanger Arboretum & LancasterHistory Members Only Event

On Saturday, May 21 at 10am, join the Friends of the Tanger Arboretum and presenter Christine “Chris” Abel for “Tips for Container Gardening.” At this outdoor event, Chris will share tips for container gardening and how to create stunning four season containers and patio pots. She will also show attendees how to create a patio pot (or container) for summer that will last all season until the frost comes, and display and discuss new or little known plants that are now on the market for buyers.

Christine “Chris” Abel is a lifelong resident of Lancaster County. She first became interested in gardening at an early age, selling her own homegrown parsley and tending to houseplants. Chris’ love of gardening grew and so did her own business of planting four seasons pots for numerous local businesses and private residences. She is a Lancaster County Master Gardener (Class of 2006) and member of the Lancaster County Garden Club and DiggingIn Gathering, a national group of professional container designers. Chris greatly enjoys teaching and showing everyone the ‘how tos’ of container gardening.
