Summer Storytime [June 30, 2021]

Summer Storytime [June 30, 2021]

Join LancasterHistory on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11am for Summer Storytime! Storytime at LancasterHistory takes place among historic buildings, giving children an immersive history experience. A passionate museum educator will read aloud from a book centered on a historical theme, and then lead a craft or activity inspired by the theme. On June 30, we’ll read Abe Lincoln: The Boy Who Loved Books by Kay Winters. We’ll then complete a craft or activity based on the day’s theme (craft/activity to be determined).

This program broadens kids’ historical knowledge, and establishes museum literacy and critical thinking skills. The program is free, and registration is required to ensure we have craft supplies for everyone. Suggested for ages 4 through 9. Register for all four Summer Storytime programs or individual programs online or over the phone by calling (717) 392-4633.

Storytime will take place outdoors unless it rains, in which case it will be moved indoors. All attendees should abide by LancasterHistory’s Reopening Protocols for Visitors, including the wearing of face masks or face coverings for those over the age of 2. We kindly ask that at least one adult, parent, or guardian attend per household.
