Scope and Content Note: Collection of H. John Hiemenz, Lancaster Realtor, developer of “Rossmere” and “Country Club Heights,” golf course owner, and champion golfer. Contains the guest register of Hiemenz’s Hotel Rossmere (later Rossmere TB Sanitorium), three photo albums, two scrapbooks, and miscellaneous loose photographs, negatives, cards, etc.

Box 1

Folder 1 Guest register book of the “Hotel Rossmere.” Lists guest names and city of residence. Some names grouped as bowling clubs, medical societies, Franklin & Marshall College classes, etc. 1898-1901. Gift of Mrs. Wilson.

Folder 2 Photograph album. Contains primarily family photographs. Also contains a number of newspaper clippings and letters related to Mr. Hiemenz’s golfing career, business ventures, and family. One newspaper photograph shows Hotel Rossmere.
