Description:   Lancaster County Historical Events and People, 1924 illustrates politics in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  This volume is unique in that it contains newspaper clippings and correspondence about both the Republican and Democratic parties.  It also gives details on the Independent Party Coalition Movement that occurred during the campaigns for the 1924 election.  Lancaster City welfare is described through articles on the Lancaster City Planning Commission, prohibition movements and arrests, and ordinances passed through the local government.  William Walton Greist, Frank C. Musser and Milton Thomas Garvin are mentioned sporadically throughout the book.
