Description: This scrapbook starts with newspaper clippings pertaining to the excavation done at the Stehman farm. Other sites mentioned in the book include the Shippen Home, Steinman Hardware Company, Hager Store, Ephrata Cloister, Franklin and Marshall College, and the Pennsylvania State Museum. The articles discuss the archaeology involved and the North American Indian artifacts found at the site. Further articles discuss native North American history and different tribes located in the Lancaster area, such as the Algonquin, Iroquois and Susquehannocks. Other articles are concerned with blue- and white-collar occupations, including iron mining, sales, retail, physicians and education. Harrisburg Neffsville, Lititz, Manheim and Lancaster, Pennsylvania were among the locations that were specifically named.
