Description:   Pennsylvania Agriculture discusses the various types of cultivation and gardening used in the late 1800s. It describes agriculture as an industry, source of sustenance, and a way of life. The scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, which convey a farmer’s life and reviews different farming cultures. These cultures include the Amish, Mennonites, and Dunkards. Portraying different parts of Pennsylvania, correspondence and newspaper clippings are present from Philadelphia, Shippensburg, Venango County, Lancaster and Danville.
