LancasterHistory Admission & Program Terms and Conditions Policy

Below are the terms and conditions governing your (“you” or “Participant”) participation in any LancasterHistory owned or operated virtual or in-person event, tour, program, meeting, session, webinar, or conference (“Program” or “Programs”).
If you are registering someone on their behalf for a Program, it is your responsibility to ensure the person participating is aware of these Terms and Conditions and accepts them. If you are registering on behalf of your child or ward for a Program, you are accepting and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions on their behalf as their legal parent or guardian.
By registering for a Program, you agree to the following terms:
Your payment and/or registration entitles you to access or admission to the Program for which you registered. All other costs associated with your attendance, including—but not limited to—transportation or transportation related fees, technological equipment, and/or internet or telephone charges or plans will be your responsibility. LancasterHistory is not liable for such costs or costs incurred for you to attend a Program.
By participating in the Program, you acknowledge and agree to grant LancasterHistory the right to record, film, live stream, photograph, screenshot, or capture your likeness in any media. You also acknowledge and agree to grant LancasterHistory the ability to distribute, broadcast, use, or otherwise globally disseminate such media in perpetuity without any further approval from you or any payment to you. This also includes the ability for LancasterHistory to edit such media, use the media alone or together with other materials or information, and the right to allow others to use or disseminate the media in physical or electronic form.
Limitations on Use. By registering for a LancasterHistory Program, you agree not to sell, trade, transfer, or share your access, link, and/or code to any other individual or organization, unless such transfer is granted by LancasterHistory or an authorized representative of LancasterHistory.
Disruptive or Abusive Conduct. LancasterHistory reserves the right to remove you from the Program if LancasterHistory determines, at its sole discretion, that your participation or behavior disrupts the Program or creates a disruption for other attendees. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Use of vulgar, abusive, offensive, threatening, or harassing images and/or language
- Use of written comments, speech, or visual images that promote, foster, or perpetuate discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation
Recording, Live Streaming, or Videotaping. Participants may not record or broadcast audio or video of LancasterHistory Program without express approval from LancasterHistory.
The payment of the Program access or admission fee, if applicable, is due upon completion of successful registration. If such payment is insufficient, declined, or non-existent, LancasterHistory may not allow access to the Program.
Cancellations by LancasterHistory. If LancasterHistory is unable to or is prevented from carrying out a Program that you are registered for as a result of any cause beyond its control, LancasterHistory will reach out to Participants to reschedule or refund registrations as necessary. Causes of cancellation may include, but are not limited to: software or hardware issue, issue with the hosting platform, acts of God, health concerns, dangerous weather conditions, speaker cancellation, etc. LancasterHistory reserves the right to terminate the Program in such instances.
Cancellations by Participant. LancasterHistory requires 24 hours’ notice of Participants’ need to cancel or reschedule to successfully refund or reschedule the Participant. If the Participant does not cancel within 24 hours of their timed entry, the Participant is still responsible for payment and LancasterHistory will not refund or reschedule the Program or any payments made towards it.
LancasterHistory strives to provide you with the best experience we can. If you feel there is some way we can improve our Programs, please fill out either the Program’s specific survey or email your comments to info@lancasterhistory.org. Confirmation Email. If you have completed your registration for a Program online, you will receive a registration confirmation by email that includes specific information that you need to access the Program and/or need to know about the Program. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, we recommend you check your junk or spam email inboxes.

- If you registered with a LancasterHistory staff member in person or over the phone, the staff member will provide you with the specific information and access information by phone or email, if available.
Receipts. If purchasing your tickets in-person, a physical receipt will be provided to you. Please note that LancasterHistory will require a receipt as proof of purchase should you have issues with admission access or wish to pursue a refund or reschedule.
Registered attendees agree to receive essential information for the Program at the email address and/or mailing address that you provided upon registration. You may also be added to LancasterHistory’s email and physical mailing lists for notifications of future Programs, membership and/or donation solicitations, and other notices. If you would like to opt-out of any of these email communications, a link is provided in each email for you to unsubscribe. You can also contact LancasterHistory at (717) 392-4633 or info@lancasterhistory.org to have a staff member opt you out of electronic or physical mailings at your request.
LancasterHistory has taken enhanced health and safety measures to protect our staff, volunteers, and visitors from communicable diseases, including COVID-19, based on current governmental and health organization recommendations. Visitors must follow the health and safety protocols given by LancasterHistory as well as any posted instructions when visiting LancasterHistory. Visitors who do not comply with our health and safety protocols will be asked to leave the property.
The risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in every public space where people are present. COVID-19 is a serious, contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and even death. Senior citizens and visitors with underlying medical conditions are particularly vulnerable.
By visiting LancasterHistory, you voluntarily assume all risks of exposure to COVID-19.
In consideration of being permitted to enter and to utilize the facilities, services, and programs of LancasterHistory, you voluntarily agree(1) to assume all risks and to accept sole responsibility for any injury to yourself, for any loss or damage, and (2) to release LancasterHistory and its employees for any claim or demands on account of any loss or injury, whether caused by the negligence of LancasterHistory or its employees, while Ticketholder is in, upon, or about LancasterHistory’s premises or any facilities or equipment therein or participating in any program affiliated with LancasterHistory. You further agree to hold harmless LancasterHistory and its employees from any claims based on any actions, omissions, or negligence of LancasterHistory in connection with your activities as described, including any claims relating to any communicable diseases, including COVID-19, as to which risks you acknowledges and voluntarily assume.
