Administrative/Biographical History:  A meeting for the formation of the American Fire-Engine and Hose Company was held 1834, and the company was organized in 1835. (Ellis & Evans, 390)

Custodial History:  The volumes in Folders 2-8 were transferred from MG-266 Daybook and Ledger Collection, Series 4 on 10 March 2009.
