Folder 2  Case Book of Rudolph Shenk, Lancaster.  1860-1864.

Folder 3  A. Herr Smith, Lawyer.  1847.

Folder 4  A. Herr Smith, Attorney’s Case Record Book.  1856-1865. A. Herr Smith was born in Manor Twp. in 1815. Smith was a student of Lititz Academy, Franklin Institute and Harrington College, and graduated from Dickinson College in 1840. He was admitted to the bar in 1842, and in 1845 he was elected to the State Senate and served through 1848, supporting bills for common-school and the “Rights of Married Women.” He was still an active member of the Lancaster Bar in 1883.  (Ellis & Evans, 238+)
