Processing History:  Transferred from MG-266 Daybook and Ledger Collection on 21 March 2013. This collection has been documented, preserved and managed according to professional museum and archives standards. The collection was cataloged using DACS conventions.

 

Folder 1  “Roll of Honor: Containing names and amounts of Lancaster City and County contributors to the Johnstown Relief Fund, for the benefit of those who suffered by the Great Flood Disaster at Johnstowm, Pa. Friday May 31st 1889.” The account shows the names of individuals and businesses and the amount donated within each municipality, and contains the Report of the Auditing Committee. This committee collected $22,602.01. The report recognizes that many other contributions were collected in and sent from Lancaster County. 1889. LancasterHistory has custodial responsibility from the City of Lancaster, 29 December 1959.
