Description: John E. Schroll participated in many shooting tournaments and contests throughout Lancaster County. Schroll was a Justice of the Peace of Pennsylvania and also the editor of The Bulletin, a newspaper in Mount Joy. This scrapbook contains some information about his time as editor for the newspaper including a picture of the office where the newspaper was published. The majority of the scrapbook is dedicated to Schroll’s aptitude for shooting. The contest consisted of clay, target and fowl shooting. The bulk of the information is about the Lancaster Gun Club, though he also shot elsewhere. The scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, record sheets, and photographs.
