Scope and Content Note:  This collection contains the Journal of the Select and Common Councils of the City of Lancaster, the paid invoices from the Law Office of F. Lyman Windolph, and his time sheets.  The Journal of the Select and Common Councils of the City of Lancaster contains general information about the population of Lancaster and the documentation of diseases, divorces, crimes, deaths, births, etc. from 1901-1905, 1907-1909. Paid invoices are a list of clients at F. Lyman Windolph’s Law Office in alphabetical order with each time of contact, services rendered and fees paid from 1941-1955.  F. Lyman Windolph’s time sheets record a daily schedule that includes fees collected and the reasons, client meetings, as well as personal matters from 1949-1966, 1972-1975.

Widmyer of the Fulton Bank Building purchases and re-registers Colonial Theatre as a fictitious name. Windolph proceeds to advertise in Lancaster newspapers and the Lancaster Law Review.

Clients were located in: Strasburg, Ephrata, Lancaster, Philadelphia, York, PA; Tenafly, NJ. The initials JIH appear in the right top corner of pages, a possible new lawyer in the firm.

Clients were located in: Strasburg, Ephrata, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Denver, Thorndale, PA; Trenton, NJ; Sanford, NC. Case(s): June 4th, 1952, Mr. William G. Heim adopts Deborah Sue in Orphan’s Court. Hershey Chocolate Corporation Mr. P N. Hershey, services rendered- deed to Walter Eberly, et ux. and corporation resolutions. A large case was the criminal trial of Nathan Kimmel, the case was appealed to the Supreme Court.
